Some children hurt a female mallard a few days ago to “play”. The incident occurred in a Spotorno (Savona), at the mouth of the river Crovetto.
The children threw stones at the unfortunate bird that was injured and fractured both legs.
The people who saw the scene saved the mallard and took the children back on their gesture. The parents of the children instead defended them by declaring: “They have the right to play!”.
The bird has been entrusted to the Animal Protection and the parents of the children risk a complaint.
Those responsible for this gesture are certainly not the children but the adults who should teach them to respect the environment and to be there living there. Defend them after a similar gesture unfortunately does understand the superficiality that invades our society!
